Summer 18.1

And so the summer is here again. Surprising like the rising mercury, my BMI has increased too. Unfortunately now it stands at a 18.1 BMI, which means I am still about 0.9 off the average weight range. With the summer coming along, people are ripping off more cloth and showing off more skin and muscle. But poor me, I am still under the average range.

My biophysics professor pointed out however, that statistical average is realistically incorrect most of the time. It is usually used to purposely hide extremes of both ends. He used the example of fever patients in a hospital. If we take the temperature of all the patients in the hospital, some with extremely high temperatures, some with extremely low temperatures, in statistical average every patient will have a normal body temperature. It simply means technically that all of them are actually healthy!

Alright, it doesn't really matter if I have those bulging muscles, washboard abs, bullet-proof chest or canon arms, but I'd like to put on more muscle mass or simply gain weight for this summer. Unfortunately it is not coming true for the time being.

Summer and its greenary, can never be parted. And so is the heat. The funny thing is to see caucasian men (and women) stripping off their clothes to cool off in an atmospheric temperature of 20 C. I mean people wear coats and ties in 38 C in Malaysia!

Well there's no summer like Malaysian summer!
