Terra Acerba Mellita
Terra acerba mellita,
Set yourself free, undo this earth,
The world needs to see herself.
-K. M. Teoh, 2006 A.D.
We all meet different people in life.
We wake up in the morning, with the windows open
But we never see what is outside, but the inside
We check our teeth, we take our bath, and just off we dart
But we never once, took a moment off, to peek outside
And notice that faint pink patch on heaven's yard
But there is only one that I see in my eyes.
In this morning breeze that blankets thee
There is solemn darkness that covers me
Against this hysterical laugther had I set free
Those tears of thy certainly are not happy
Stop by for a moment these angels who ride above
Through heaven's well down to this black sea
I need you now, for given up have she that I serve
Because on my knees I am, faithfully on you I plea
Above all, there is only one that I will for die.
Shine thy light of wisdom through this tragic soul
Through her eyes of wonder, fill another wonder
And through her heart, make warm the very cold
Thus free her entirely from her pain and anger
That the world will be what it will be and not what it is
The melancholy, bitterness and torment was not meant to be
But the outter shell of something that all fail to see
Which covers the very reward of simply being thee!
